I am new to linux. So how do I install, uninstall,quary .tar.gz files in linux & while installing rpm files it is saying file dependency so how do I remove it.
Please send a reply as soon as possible.

usually .tar.gz files are source code, typical installation consists of extracting it (tar zxvf filename.tar.gz) then jumping into the directory (cd newly created directory) then running ./configure && make && make install, assuming you have all of the libraries installed you should be OK. Depending on the distribution your using you might want to use rpms, slackpacks, e-builds, or something along those lines

To un-install a tarball, sometimes you can go into the package source directory (what you originally extracted, compiled and installed) and type "make uninstall". This doesn't always work, depending on the author of the code.
