Hello I wonder if anyone can help with this one...

I have a 10gig hard drive of which 3gig is designated to RH Linux 6.1 and 7gig is FAT32 Windows98SE.

What I need to do is get rid of the linux partititon(or just reduce it) and extend the Windows one so it is bigger. I need to do this without losing any data on the Windows partition. Anyone any advice on how to do this, if it is possible?

thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

Partition Magic will work well to delete the linux partitions and resize your windows partitions if you can get your hand on a copy.

You can find GNU parted on the web. Download the floppy disk image and create a boot floppy disk. Boot with the floppy disk to delete the linux partitions and resize windows partition.

Neither of the above will destory data. However, it is always best to backup any stuff you can't afford to lose. Just cause you never know.

That's great that, thanks very much. biggrin.gif
