Full Version: Linux or Program problem?

First of all , im not sure where to post and if i post this at the wrong topic then my bad . I've been having problem with my Dota2 ( game ) im not sure if its the program or linux? i asked my friend who is good in this kind of stuuf and he said he never seen it before . I have a 4 years laptop , Dell (not sure what it is actual name) . When i had windows , it was running fine and now it doesnt . Can anyone help? Much appreciated . and also im not sure how to post a picture on here , i think it would be easier if you guys can have a look .

What is the model of your laptop?
What linux distribution/version are you running?

I do not play games so are you running dota2 via steam? Does your laptop meet the min requirements

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS according to my friend who did it for me . The model of my laptop is Dell Inspiron N4030 and yes via steam

Memory : 1.8GiB
Processor : Intel Pentium® CPU P6200 @ 2.13GHz x 2
OS tyoe : 32-bit
Disk : 490.2 GB

is there anything else i should add on?

According to the link provided you don't have enough RAM.
Windows only requires 1GB but linux needs 4GB.
