I have recently migrated from Windows to Lubuntu and I am (trying) to restart my programming activity. I've got a directory of lots of small .cpp files on a separate partition, which I want to work on. The problem is that when I try to compile and run the files from that directory, I get ”permission denied” error. How can I solve this without moving the files somewhere else? Oh, and I should say that the IDE I use is CodeBlocks.

Welcome to LinuxHelp. Here is an article that explains linux permissions and you can find more information by searching the web. What directories are the files located at, are you logged in as a regular user?
