Hi
I need some help as well with installing a Wireless USB Dongal.

I am running Fedora 15 and have purchased a Edimax EW-7811Un.

I can not understand how to get the needed driver installed. ( My fault it said Linux Compatible on the box which real has the same meaning as "some assembly need " on any large carton in a big box store.)

I need step by step help, I am happy to use the terminal but find cutting and pasting into the terminal lots better results than attempting to follow what to me seem vague instruction but what to everybody else is real clear steps.

The worst part of this whole deal is that I am using an old XP laptop on the new wireless network with and Edimax EW-7811 installed straight off the CD. Why can they not do that for Linux as well.
Thanks Stuart

I can not much except for posting some other links on how to download and install the driver. What steps are you following and what problems are you experiencing?

In most cases there isn't enough incentive (i.e. money) for hardware manufactures to develop linux drivers. Some manufactures refuse to release any information so many are reversed engineered.
