I don't really understand the way Suse handles DNS/Name Servers. There is a box for Name Server and Domain Search. What is the difference? the help thing on the side just doesn't explain it well enough. I put in my DNS IP that I use on my windows box and i can't access anything. I have the IP and gateway info set up correctly, i believe. I can access stuff within my network, but I can't seem to get out of my network. I'm using a linksys router for my internet connection and have DHCP disabled. I assign the IP addresses 192.168.1.x throughout my network. When I try to go to a page on my linux box it says "Unknown host www.suse.com" Any help?

Thanks.

Can you reach an external web site by using the IP address rather than the url?
