Hello,

I have just installed Debian Lenny on my computer and a 'lspci' showed:

CODE
01:01.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88w8335 [Libertas] 802.11b/g Wireless (rev 03)

So I went ahead and installed 'libertas-firmware' and 'wireless-tools'

I updated /etc/network/interfaces adding:

CODE
# The wireless network interface
auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wireless-essid homewlan
wireless-key 1234567890ABCDEF
wireless-mode managed

I see the correct modules loaded:

CODE
libertas_sdio           7528  0
mmc_core               39964  1 libertas_sdio
libertas_cs             6592  0
libertas               63464  3 usb8xxx,libertas_sdio,libertas_cs
pcmcia                 29548  1 libertas_cs
firmware_class          6816  4 usb8xxx,libertas_sdio,libertas_cs,pcmcia
pcmcia_core            31892  2 libertas_cs,pcmcia

However, when I type 'iwconfig' I get:

CODE
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

And there's no way to get wlan0 up and running (even recognized by Debian):

CODE
Debian:/home/NiceLittleRabbit# ifup wlan0

Thank you in advance
