Forgive me for posting such a simple question, but I don't even know enough of the language to understand how to search for the answer.

I've been trying to get use of a couple of programs that are only accessible from the command-line in Mac OS X, especially pandoc. I was able to install it with cabal, as the directions said. But I'm having trouble running it.

The executable file currently resides at ~/Library/Haskell/ghc-7.0.3/lib/pandoc- When I type it in like that, it works fine. But I'd like to be able just to type `pandoc.` How do I make that program generally accessible? There are several basic scripts I would like to have accessible from anywhere in the same way.

If anyone could explain how to get that done, and tell me what the language is for what I'm trying to do, I'd really appreciate it.
