Hi All,
I've just had a very nasty experience with Kubuntu (dual booted with XP) when it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to 11.04. I gave permission and off it went. Sadly it screwed up the dual boot routine and left me with a PC that would only boot as far as an 'Out Of Frequency' message! Eventually I got back in using my Slipstreamed XP disk up to the point where it let me delete the Linux partition.

I now have a spare hard drive which has Kubuntu already installed ( from a deceased PC) and would like to know if I can set my PC up to boot selectively from one of two hard drives. For example, is it possible to produce a menu, like the ordinary dual boot menu, but allowing choice of boot drive?

Anybody got any ideas, please?

Not really but you can add a item to the existing boot loader on the kubuntu drive to boot windows on the other.
Set the BIOS to boot from the kubuntu drive.
Your going to need to add a menu for XP like this disk (assuming your boot loader is grub2)
