I used various tools to make a bootable USB drive. When I try to boot to it I get to a prompt: user@debian:~$ ... no idea what to do then so I opened help and didn't find what I needed
so went to boot and was told "no default or ui configured.." Now what? |

You are at the command line prompt. If a x server was installed then you can try using the startx command. If the x server is not configured correctly for your video card there should be some errors. Post those errors.
What did you use to create a bootable USB or how did you install debian to the drive? |

Post those errors. What did you use to create a bootable USB or how did you install debian to the drive? I used a different installer and got a bootable usb, thanks. |

It's been a while, but the UNetbootin interface looks familiar. |
