I have a RedHat 7.2 server that I want to clone a CentOS system to. The RedHat system can only boot from its local hard drive. Is it possible to create an image of the CentOS system, copy this image to the RH72 system, and restore it?

I would guess this is a really old computer and without knowing more about its hardware specifications (CPU, RAM) it is impossible to tell if CentOS will work. Are you running x i.e a desktop of just the command line?

One way would be to move the old computer's drive to the CentOS computer and reinstall the OS to that drive and then move it back to the old server. I do not think cloning is a good choice in this situation.
