I am duel booting red hat 8 + windows xp. I have a bt voyager adsl modem (usb) which works fine with windows but there is no support for linux. I have downloaded and ran the eciconf.sh file, (removing the dabusb module and then when i run "startmodem" it installs the firmware and the modem "link" light lights and is stactic, but i am not connected as i can't run mozilla or ping anyone. Then to top it all of, when i reboot back into windows, i have to re-install the modem drivers as the vendor id has changed.
I have posted this message on many forums and no-one seems to really no what to do!! Please help
