hello to anyone who can help,

My company is experiencing a catastrophe after the programmer/IT left suddenly without leaving any details of how anything works...

The problem is, I cannot enable remote access for a website company to download the css, images etc...
from what i've gathered, the website is being hosted on a server in house using GNU linux operating system, and using a baracuda router...
enabling remote access on the windows domain controller does not work, and I cannot login to the hosting server from the DC
somehow I believe I am supposed to log in to the Linux server and enable remote access
I can actually download the website's files from a local mac, but I don't know how to give someone remote access.
any advice?
