Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

Hi

Just bought a Acer AOA 150 netbook with Linux operating system,
when i download a file it must be saved to disk this is the only option,
but there is way to open or install the downloaded file.

I have tried to search for other programs to open the file to no avail!

Please help

I believe that this netbook runs linpus.
What files are you trying to install?

Trying to install ANTIVIR a anti-virus, games for Linux, solitare. When i search for applications there is non
that will open or install these files.

Example: can't open file "/mnt/home/Downloads/avlxwks/install":
