Hello All,

After linking an icon (on the desktop) to a program that was recently installed, I get a weird flickering effect on all the icons on the desktop. Once you click or rub your mouse over the icons, they seemingly disappear and reappear. I've noticed this problem seems to only happen in KDE (default environment) and not in Gnome. The only solutions I've come up with is, when you're in "Control Center", if you increase or decrease the icon size to anything but the default (48), the problem stops. I'm hoping to find the real solution to this problem, so I can keep the default icon size the way it is. I'm currently working on Linux 4.6 OS on a Sun Ultra 40M2, (Quadro FX 3500 graphics card), and a Dell 30 inch 3007WFP monitor.

If anyone has a solution, I'd greatly appreciate it.
