I've installed the latest version of Flash (downloaded the tarball straight from Adobe), but it's refusing to play embedded videos, including youtube. It's not a browser-specific problem - I've tried Iceweasel, Epiphany, and Opera. How can I make my browsers work properly again?

Are you running 32bit or 64bit? Also, how did you install the flashplayer? Where did you put the *.so file?
