hello guys, im new at this forum, and as you can see my english is quite poor,, anyway this is my problem..

first of all i have ubuntu 8.04 and windows xp home
I have reinstalled ubuntu (after some problems with it, i removed it and installed it again),,,the problem is that when i try to enter to windows, the scrren show me the following mesagge: invalid partition table.

Im really confused and worried, because i dont know if i have lost windows xp (and all my files). Is there a way to know if i have lost it? and How can i solve this problem??
