Hi all!
I'm fairly new in the Linux community, therefore my question might be pretty basic for some of you out there... but I'm hitting the wall and I need some help.
I have a Linux box (SentOS), properly configured to send emails via 'mail' or 'sendmail'.
I need to email a text string coming out of a script as stdo and make it the stdi for sendmail. How can I pipe tha ttext into sendmail?
The only reason I have for using sendmail is its -f parameter that allows me to set the 'from' email address.

Basically, what I need is this:
- I have a script that generates some text as standard output
- I need to send that text (as standard input I guess) as the contents of the email to be sent via sendmail
- I need to do this automatically as a shell script

Any help will be appreciated!!!! smile.gif

Thank you!

Fabian
