Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

Hey guys, I just recently installed Ubuntu as I've heard from multiple sources that it's better and more secure than Windows, and also (more importantly) noob friendly nowadays lol.

For the most part this is true, but occasionally when I start up my laptop, the following message occurs and I have to hold down the power button to force the laptop to power down and restart as Ubuntu fails to load:-

Starting Up...
[ 18.167196] ACPI: EC: status - 0, expect_event: acpi_cc_wait timeout,
[ 10.167257] ACPI: EC: read timeout, command = 128

ANY help you guys can offer would be greatly sucks being clueless with pc related problems but I'm hoping it's easily sorted.

Thanks in advance!
