Hello, I'm afraid I'm relatively new to linux, but I'm slowly picking things up!

I am running a server with sendmail on it, for mailing. Recently I did a rebuild on the server, and since then it has been taking AGES to send email through my webmail (which uses the php mail() command to do its work, which in turn uses localhost for smtp I think). This wasn't a problem before, and I haven't changed any of the config in my webmail since then.

On my local mail client at home (Thunderbird), I am using a different smtp server for the moment because it is just taking too long, but I want to fix it and start using it again.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be slowing the sending down?

I am using CentOS 4.5.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I have fixed this problem now, I hadn't added all my domains to the /etc/hosts file. Problem solved!
