Hello All,

My question is not simple as you think, I have used some commands but they don't work the reason is: I'm using an embedded system with Linux.

I used the command "uname -a" and got 'GumStix' .. I need to modify inittab to turn the NumLock on the startup, or if you know some other way?

A quick google search reveals that you can add following to rc.local :

# Turn numlock on:
for tty in /dev/tty[1-6]; do
/usr/bin/setleds -D +num < $tty
