I am trying to change the IP address and default gateway of a RedHat server. I have edited the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file and given the new address and subnet mask.
I have also edited the /etc/host file to reflect the new IP address
What file do I need to edit to update the new default gateway?

The IP address is going to change once the server reboot but with its current gateway I will not be able to get to it. Trying the route add command does not work becouse pre-reboot it will not take the new gateway.
There has to be a file to enter this info in, right?
