Hi there,
I just received a laptop from a friend that is running Fedora Core 7. I'm completely new to this. The sound doesn't work on the laptop and neither does the internal wireless card. Everything else looks fine. It was originally running Windows XP but apparently he got rid of it completely and Fedora is the only thing it's running. Aside from that it's a stock Toshiba Satellite. Not sure what specific model it is though, sorry. I like the way Fedora looks and handles, and it seems pretty user friendly, but how do I get the sound and the wireless card to work? Much obliged ![]() |

QUOTE Look at the output of the command uname -a to see what kernel you are using and then select that directory to download the files I was assuming you were talking about selecting a directory within Terminal. |
