Hi,
I am trying to dual boot Suse 10.3 and Vista. I have first installed vista, then suse 10.3 and then wanted to edit the grub menu.lst to be able to boot vista again (not to get only the bootmgr missing information).
Whenever i change the menu.lst (even with an editor), grub rechanges my changes.
What I would like is this:

timeout 10
gfxmenu (hd0,5)/boot/message

I would really appreciate any ideas about what I did wrong - probably it is something easy - I am completly new to all this stuff, all I know about grub and linux is what I read in the last days to figure out this thing.
thanks a lot!
Eva
PS: I should be editing the correct file, because if I change the titles, grub gets it and shows it when booting

You have two vista items. The second is hd0,5 is not valid since this is your linux partition. The first item lists hd0,1 but we can not say due to the fact that
we have no idea on how the drive is partitioned. What are the error messages if you try the first vista menu. Does this PC have a recovery partition?
