Hi all,

I've been trying to get help on this subject, but have been unsuccessful. It has been quite a while since starting to try and do this. I really hope that someone here will be able to help me.

I'm trying to install my embedded 3G card in my Dell D630 laptop. I've tried using the Vodafone application for Linux, but that is only for external cards.

This is the return of lspci when flipping the card's switch: (last part of it as I'm getting a post too long message!!!!!!)

crownambassador@Vista:~$ lspci
ata_generic 8452 0
libusual 18448 1 usb_storage
usbhid 29536 0
hid 28928 1 usbhid
ohci1394 36528 0
ieee1394 96312 2 sbp2,ohci1394
tg3 110980 0
ehci_hcd 36492 0
ata_piix 17540 2
libata 125168 2 ata_generic,ata_piix
scsi_mod 147084 6 sbp2,usb_storage,sg,sd_mod,sr_mod,libata
uhci_hcd 26640 0
usbcore 138632 9 hci_usb,option,usbserial,usb_storage,libusual,usbhid,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd
thermal 14344 0
processor 32072 2 acpi_cpufreq,thermal
fan 5764 0
fuse 47124 1
apparmor 40728 0
commoncap 8320 1 apparmor

last part of dmesg:

[
[ 81.072000] sr: Sense Key : No Sense [current]
[ 81.072000] sr: Add. Sense: No additional sense information
[ 2449.168000] PPP generic driver version 2.4.2

[ 5688.636000] usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2

[ 5688.936000] Bluetooth: HCI USB driver ver 2.9
[ 5688.940000] usbcore: registered new interface driver hci_usb

I have done a lot of searching around, but I guess I'm not searching on the right sites. I also don't know where the card gets "mounted". You might need to know that the switch I flipped also controls

Also, I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy with kernel 2.6.22-14-generic.

Helping me to sort this out will be so much appreciated! Please.

Thank you.
