"I'm using Ubuntu the kind you download for free and when I try to install my updates Or try to open the synaptic package manager I get an error "E: dpkg was interrupted. you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.....Then when I run dpkg --configure -a I get "dpkg: error processing a (--configure): no package named `a' is installed, cannot configure Errors were encountered while processing: a."..hope this helps
