I have an odd issue. I just did a fresh install of CentOS 5 on an old dell desktop we had lying around the office. After installing (with a minimal server setup), I setup the network and had an issue getting connectivity. I finally replaced the cable and it seemed to work. However, I soon realized that the server would stay up for about 2 minutes (sometimes less) and then lose all network connectivity (can't even ping the gateway). The only way to fix it is to swap ports on the switch, which will buy me 2 more minutes or so until it goes back down. Any ideas?

I'd check the network card... or its drivers
