Hi,

Niether Ubuntu nor Knoppix recognize my modem and I can't find a driver for it either. The model is Gigabyte GC-MIPEC5241Z. Any suggestions?

I'm using windows to post this.

Could not find any real information except that it is an internal PCI faxmodem. Post the output of the command lspci. This might tell us the chipset of the device which might lead us to a driver.
