HELP sad.gif,

I need to schedule the "tcpdump -n -w filename.bin" command on a RH 7.3 install. The only access I have to the box is SSH and FTP. What can I do, without leaving the SSH console up all day?

hmm I think there are 4 possibilities or more:

- crontab
- screen
- virtual x server vnc
- nohup command running your shedule script

Normally you should use crontab for this kind of job.

could I know which users are you spying on your unix box??

It's one of the reason because I give the advice to use only secured connections.
