Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I am trying to install linux on a Pc with windows xp. when i goto install it(redhat 7.1) it prompts me to select the installation method, when i select the graphic interface, my screen just turns black. anyone know what to do? I also want to know if i can boot windows back...

Its most likely a video-card driver issue. Go with the text install until the proper drivers are loaded. I ran into something similar long time ago with RH 6.2.
