I am using Fedora Core 6 and when I try to do an update to the software packages I get the following error and it will not let me continue:

Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: clement

How can I fix this? I am a new linux user. Very little experience.

are you running as root user to download and install package updates?

If not you need to change to root user.

I am using FC5. Trying Add/remove, system says "Cannot retrieve software information". Never faced such problem with Redhat (all Releases).

Help Please.
