When I try and boot up my webserver, this is what I get:

INIT: Entering runlevel:3
INIT: Id "1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "2" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "3" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "4" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "5" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "6" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: No more processes in this runlevel

Also I tried running chkconfig and ntsysv to check the startup files and I got this:

Failed to open /etc/init.d
No such file or directory

Any ideas on how to go about rectifying this situation?

EDIT: Sorry for the typo - "Linus" should obviously be "Linux"
Also the system is running Red Hat 7.1

any help would be greatly appreciated smile.gif
