I'm tired of Windows and am anxious to switch over to Linux. However I'm also on a budget and am looking for a way to capture and record video (from TV and camcorder) on my computer. Would the Irez USB device available at Tiger Direct for $39.97 work for this purpose when used with the appropriate free software? If not, what would you recommend within a similar price range? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John
