Ugh Im totally new to Linux, ive got Fedora Core 6 running and im trying to install AIM (aol messenger for linux) and i unzip it, and so it creates a folder on the desktop with all the stuff...*cricket* *cricket* now what? =/

What file did you download? If it is an RPM then you do not need to "unzip" the file. Just follow the instructions on the website.
