Hi, i need to know how I can determine the address of some keys on the laptop.
In my case it's the key (frontside of the computer, unused at the moment) that should switch the wifi on or off. The key is luminated.
I want to switch the wifi manually or switch other programs/hardware with this key. I also want to control the light on the key (on/off).
How do I get an address of the key to localize it and how can i control the function of it?
Im using Ubuntu on an acer aspire 3610.

open up a terminal and then type :

then press any key and you will get the full address of that key in the terminal under the keycode property..
