Hello Again

I have had to change from lilo to grub for suse 10
etc/grub.conf is
setup --stage2=/boot/grub/stage2 (hd0,1) (hd0,1)
quit

I get an error message on reboot saying
"graphics file "(hd0,1) /boot/message" missing press a key to continue
Which is a pain because I can't do so remotely!

I guess I can just add a line in to stop it pointing to a default graphics file but do I need a spacer file or something? If so where can I get it from all of the net examples I googled have files which are .gz

Thanks in Advance

The graphics package is optional, if you just remove the line it should be with out any trouble.

Yes thanks, and I eventually worked out it's called up in the /boot/menu.lst file not in grub.conf. In the end I downloaded a copy from another forum and now I have a pretty splash screen
