I just installed Fedora core 4 and I recieve this error when I boot the system.[b]No volume control elements and/or devices found.
I know there is a sound card since I was running windows 98se and it worked . What are my options to try and resolve this problem.
Thanks

The utility to configure sound in Fedora Core is:

system-config-sound

entered into a terminal as root. That will bring up a series of dialog boxes to help you configure your card. If you know the tyep of sound card you have, you can use the "lsmod" command and grep for it to see if there is a module for that card loaded. Without more information, I can't help any more.
