Just to remind everyone, your membership on this board gets you access to the blogging component of the board.

I've just implemented a hack to give your free linuxhelp blog a more user friendly URL, it'll be
http://<your_userid>.linuxhelp.net

Mine, for example, is http://markjr.linuxhelp.net

Hello,

so I wrote my very first blog (it can be probably seen by the way I write smile.gif ).

So then I type http://robert83.linuxhelp.net , but it wont go directly to my blog. Like markjr.linuxhelp.net
does.

Any ideas?

Sincerely
Robert B

I already have a blog sad.gif - blog.richardgomer.co.uk

Perhaps it is more interesting that Robert83's though, my last post was about quantum theory. Maybe tomorrow I will blog about sitting in a haystack and drinking bacardi, for those with less high-brow tastes in blog material.

robert83.linuxhelp.net works for me smile.gif

the URL worked for me but the thing I noticed was the entry wasn't showing up in the "recent blog entries" on the homepage (which is an RSS feed for the blog channel)

Then realize the article wasn't published (I hit "publish" for you, hope you don't mind)

I always forget that step myself, after you save your entry, you need to "publish" it.
