So I downloaded a rpm file. The rpm was installed successfully. Once after installing a rpm file how do you run it? How do you run the program? Today is my first day using linux!! I was a window xp user smile.gif

Generally the name of the program to run can be guessed from the filename of the rpm..
e.g : if the package is phex2.8.6.95.rpm the executable is phex wink.gif

you can query the rpm package to find what are the files in installs to bin directories using
rpm -qp -l mypackage.rpm|grep "bin"

now you may try running these binary files..
