Hello, chaps. Well, yesterday I was trying to boot my Mac using Knoppix. Realising that it wouldn't work with the PPC chips, I ran it on QEmu, an Intel emulator. Look what happened:

Any idea what this means and how I can fix it?

If you are determined to run it in Qemu, then post the command you ran here so that we can see what you asked Qemu to do.

Yes, but I'd rather get this five-hour download working.
Any ideas?

And I hadn't told it to do anything yet, just booted it.

None! That's the odd thing: I just let it run under default settings.

Try using
CODE
qemu -m <memory u want to allocate in MB> -cdrom <imagename.iso>

an example for that would be :
CODE
qemu -m 128 -cdrom knoppix.iso

this would allocate 128MB RAM to qemu smile.gif
