Hi there,

I am a newbie to all this but we have an appliance box in our network that uses Linux underneath and basically runs send mail. I need to make it so that sendmail will just send mail regardless of whetehr it can look up the domain name it is sending to. It will always be sending to one domain no others, but the box does not have access to the external DNS servers of our ISp as its behind a firewall with limitations on it. The emails will always go to one address (our support address) so is there anyway I can stop teh following erro occuring "Name server tmeout....Transient Parse error...message qued for future delivery"

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards

WIll

Just put the domain name into /etc/hosts and it won't need to ask the DNS service
