hello everyone
i am trying to connect to the internet using mandriva 2006 on my dual boot computer with xp being the main OS,

i have a phone line dsl connection on my xp OS working,

well now i am trying to get the same dsl connection to work on the mandriva 2006 OS

read a topic on how to this, requiring to download "wvdial-1.54-3mdk.i586.rpm"

tryed to install on mandriva

brings up following error while trying to install
"Some package REQ
libwvstreams.so.374"

could someone please help me to get my internet on linux working

So you use PPP to connect?

You could always buy a router that supports PPP (so your computers would just use an ethernet connection, as if it were a normal network connection), or you could use a PPP tool in linux.

Mandrake should have kppp installed, I would think. Try running that, as root, from a terminal.
