Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I was trying to uninstall Linux and put on Window$:( . I used the Quick Restore disks that came with my computer now whenever it try to boot the Window$ CD something called grub comes up. what should I do?

It appears the quick restore disks did not repair the Master boot record. grub is a bootloader and what you see is its command prompt due to it not being able to find the deleted menu.lst file.

There are a couple ways to restore the windows MBR. You can use a W98 emergency boot floppy and use the fdisk command (fdisk /mbr). Boot a XP or W2K install CD to recovery mode and run the fixmbr command.

I tryed both and each time it goes strist to grub command prompt.

Is your BIOS set to boot from CD first?
