I need some advice. I have now tried three different book/dvd/cd packs from barns&nobel.
SuSE 10 for dummies, SuSE 10 bible and linux bible, all from wiley publisher. I can't get any of the programs to boot. With SuSE I get ISOLINUX image checksum error, sorry..... Knoppix wont boot either. I have tried to boot of the book cd as well as the dvd and nothing works.
I really wanted to move to linux, but I am getting so frustrated I could scream.
By the way Wiley's techsupport was of no help either. They had no idea what the problem was and suggested I get my own download of linux or contact the author of the book. Honestly, if I wanted to do that I wouldn't have spent $40 on the book.

Do I have to give up on enjoying linux or is there hope?
Don't have highspeed internet or I would download my own distro.

HELP!!!

If you are getting a checksum error then mostly..the problem is with DVD.
But why do you buy books man? These CDz come with various Linux magazines also.
