I am trying to install java on my suse system because many apps dependencies require java, the file i have is renamed to make it shorter but the same extension, it is: j2re-rpm.bin and is in the dir /root
I cant figure out how to open the file, i also cant find any help regarding the comman line rules for bin files, i can for other extensions but not the main binary installers. odd! help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Grant. -------------------- samsung R50

to install bin files just make it executable by chmoding it +x
and just running the file by the following: ./file-name.bin -------------------- My BASIC Signature
10 PRINT "My Signature" 20 GOTO 10 |
