I am currently trying to do my first linux install but I am seeming to have a lot of problems. When I boot from the DVD I get the welcome type screen and I am instructed to hit enter. After that it just goes to a black screen and stays there. So I told it to do a text install so I could see where it is hanging up at and it is at where it is trying to look at my PCI devices. So I opened up my computer and took out all the PCI cards only for it to continue to hang up at the same point. I went to my motherboard's manufactuer's website only to find no support regarding this issue. I have a MSI 865PE Neo2-P. Any support would be greatly apprciated.

Use the ctrl-alt-F1 etc. commands (theyre listed near the bottom of the screen while the install laods) to have a look at the various log files - There may well be more information in one of them.
