Hey guys,
So I'm thinking about upgrading from suse 8.2 to opensuse 10.0 tomorrow. My questions are as follows. Is it pretty easy to do? Am I likely to have hardware problems even though all my hardware is a few years old? Are pretty much all the essentials included, I need a gui and office, broadband over cat5 is also a must? Does it have a nice graphical installer like 8.2 did?

I'm thinking about upgrading my one and only computer. It has to take me less than an afternoon, and it all has to work right by nightfall. Do you think that installing opensuse 10.0 would be a good idea?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks a bunch guys.

It has OpenOffice 1.0 and GUI u can choose GNOME or KDE or Blackbox etc..
Broadband over cat5 i am not sure..
I haven't seen the 8.2 installer. However i liked the opensuse 10 installer..

Boradband over ethernet is just, essentially, a LAN. Just set it up as if +it was a regular network, and set the gateway address to the IP of your modem. If your modem supports DHCP, it should configure your network interface automatically, in which case it may well work out of the box.
