i'm installing mandriva 2006 but whenever it reaches the sata drivers it tells me to wait and just stops. is this a known issue or anything? i've spent ages looking on google.

the hard drive (western digital 120gb) is partitioned, 70gb for windows and the rest for linux. hard drive works fine as windows is running off it right now. any help much appreciated.

for future reference, turning acpi off in the bios, then switching it on again after reboot did the trick
