I downloaded wine, but when I try to use it to install starcraft from the cd, I get this message:

err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"winex11.drv": libXxf86dga.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!

err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"winex11.drv": libXxf86dga.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Application tries to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.

Why do I get this error message?

Are you running X as a user, or root?

Are you running 'wine starcraft.exe' as root or user? smile.gif

Changes are you're running it as root, and a user is running X (or the other way around).

You need to run starcraft as the user X is running under. If X isn't running, that's your problem. wink.gif
