Can someone tell me how to step by step set up a firewalled gateway on my redhat 9 box?

This is a support site, not a tutorial forum. If you want a tutorial get on google, if you run into trouble with a tutorial, come and ask a specific question.

Its not to tough in general, you need two nics, one to connect to the outside world, the other to connect to your internal switch. You set up a DHCP server, you set up IPTables and your rocking and ready to go.


Gentoo has a really good guide on their page for how to do it...

Alot of it is obviuosly gonna be gentoo specific but it might be helpful. If you have a specific question ask that.
